Natuna Launches IPSKA Service, Regent Hopes Easier Export Certification Will Boost Local SMEs

Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan officially inaugurated the Natuna Agency for the Issuance of Certificates of Origin (IPSKA) on Thursday morning (25/06) at the lobby of the Natuna Regent’s Office on Batu Sisir Street, Bukit Arai. The inauguration was marked by the unveiling of the agency’s nameplate.

The launch was part of a nationwide program officiated virtually by Indonesia’s Minister of Trade and was attended by a number of regional leaders, including the Chairperson of the Natuna Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Secretary, heads of related government agencies, representatives of vertical institutions, community leaders, business actors, exporters, and beneficiaries of the Puak Self-Help Housing Program in East Bunguran District.

In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan said the establishment of IPSKA under the Natuna Office of Trade, Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises represents a concrete step toward simplifying public services and reducing bureaucratic barriers for local businesses.

With the new service now available in Natuna, business owners no longer need to travel outside the region to obtain a Certificate of Origin (COO). The process can now be completed faster, at lower cost, and with greater efficiency. More importantly, local products will have stronger legal documentation, allowing them to compete in international markets while carrying Natuna’s identity and origin.

Cen Sui Lan expressed hope that easier access to export certification would encourage higher export volumes, attract new investment, and create broader economic opportunities for local communities, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and fishermen.

In addition to inaugurating IPSKA, the Regent also handed over land certificates to beneficiaries of the 2025 Puak Self-Help Housing Program in East Bunguran District.

She said the certificate distribution reflects the regional government’s commitment to providing legal certainty over land ownership and housing assets. By holding official land certificates, residents gain stronger legal protection, greater peace of mind, and increased security over their property rights.

Cen Sui Lan encouraged recipients to take good care of the assets they have received and make the best use of their homes as safe, comfortable, and healthy places to live. She also expressed hope that legal ownership of these assets would contribute to improving the welfare and quality of life of local families. (Pro_kopimnatuna/D&S)
