The ceremony was attended by the leadership of BAZNAS Riau Islands Province, the Natuna BAZNAS board, representatives of regional government agencies, the East Bunguran sub-district leadership forum, sub-district and village heads, as well as community members.
In his remarks, Jarmin expressed his sincere appreciation to BAZNAS of the Riau Islands Province, BAZNAS Natuna, and all parties involved for organizing the meaningful event. He described the program as a tangible expression of social solidarity and the Islamic values of compassion, generosity, and care for orphans and families in need.
He emphasized that children are a shared responsibility and deserve love, protection, education, and equal opportunities to build a brighter future.
Jarmin also noted that the mass circumcision program provides significant benefits, not only as an important religious practice in Islam but also in supporting children’s health and well-being.
He reaffirmed the Natuna Regency Government’s full support for social and humanitarian initiatives carried out by BAZNAS. He expressed hope that collaboration between the local government, BAZNAS, the business community, and society would continue to grow so that the benefits of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah could reach more people in need.
The Deputy Regent also encouraged eligible Muslims in Natuna to fulfill their obligation by channeling their zakat, infaq, and charitable donations through BAZNAS, enabling the organization to expand its assistance to those who need it most.
Meanwhile, Raja Marzuni, Chair of BAZNAS Natuna, thanked the Natuna Regency Government for its continued support of the program. He also expressed appreciation to BAZNAS of the Riau Islands Province for bringing this year’s initiative to Natuna, as well as to the Natuna Health Office and Natuna Regional General Hospital (RSUD Natuna) for providing medical personnel to support the free health screenings and mass circumcision services.
On the same occasion, Arusman Yusuf, Chair of BAZNAS Riau Islands Province, introduced the organization’s five flagship programs: Kepri Cerdas (Smart Kepri), Kepri Sehat (Healthy Kepri), Kepri Makmur (Prosperous Kepri), Kepri Peduli (Caring Kepri), and Kepri Takwa (Pious Kepri).
He explained that the Kepri Peduli and Kepri Takwa programs are implemented annually. In 2026, BAZNAS provided assistance to 1,000 beneficiaries, including 500 children participating in the mass circumcision program and 500 orphans receiving financial assistance. According to him, these initiatives are part of BAZNAS’ broader commitment to improving community welfare and supporting sustainable socio-economic development. Pro-Kopim (E)
