Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan attended the socialization event for the Geophysical and Geotechnical Survey Program by Premier Oil Tuna B.V (POTBV), held at the Adiwana Jelita Sejuba Ballroom, Bunguran Timur District, Thursday morning (May 7).
In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan said that Premier Oil Tuna B.V, as a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) contractor authorized to carry out upstream oil and gas operations in the region, plays an important role not only in supporting national energy development, but also in encouraging local economic growth.
She stated that the Natuna Regency Government welcomes the various programs initiated by Premier Oil and hopes all activities can run smoothly, safely, and in accordance with existing regulations, while still paying attention to environmental sustainability and the interests of local communities.
Cen Sui Lan also expressed hope that the event would give participants a clearer understanding of the company’s upcoming plans and activities in Natuna.
In addition, she hopes the program can create positive impacts for the community, whether through job opportunities, local community empowerment, or other contributions to regional development.
According to her, strong synergy and coordination between the local government, the company, and the community are essential to ensure every stage of the program runs well and provides benefits for all parties involved.
Also attending the event were the Natuna Vice Regent, the Regional Secretary, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Development Acceleration Team (TPPD), the Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs, the Chairperson of Commission I of the Natuna DPRD, representatives from Harbour Energy, regional agencies (OPD), the Malay Traditional Institution (LAM), and community leaders.
