Leading Coordination Meeting on Grants and Social Assistance, Natuna Regent Stresses Importance of Updating Recipient Data

Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan led a coordination meeting on the implementation of grants and social assistance programs at the meeting room of the Natuna Regent’s Office, Jalan Batu Sisir, Bukit Arai, Bunguran Timur District, Tuesday morning (May 5).

The meeting was attended by the Natuna Vice Regent, the Regional Secretariat, and heads of several Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD).

During the meeting, Cen Sui Lan emphasized that grants and social assistance programs must truly reach the right recipients, especially those included in the priority welfare data categories, such as elderly residents, widows with many dependents, and communities affected by disasters or hardship.

Because of this, she urged related regional agencies to continuously update recipient data. According to reports from the community, there are still cases where the names of deceased individuals remain on the list, while some eligible residents have not yet been registered as beneficiaries.

She also reminded the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispenduk), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and other related agencies that data updates must be carried out consistently and sustainably to ensure social assistance is distributed more accurately and fairly (Pro_kopim/Endang).
