The Regency of Natuna has formed 91 Family Facilitator Teams spread across all villages. This team acted as the spearhead of accelerating the reduction of stunting from upstream, especially in prevention, starting from the incubation process to taking other preventive measures from the direct factors that cause stunting.
This was conveyed by the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, when officially opening the Family Facilitator Orientation, with the theme ‘Efforts to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Villages,’ at the Natuna Dive Resort (NDR), Sepempang Village, Bunguran Timur District, Thursday (29/08) morning.
According to Rodhial, the prevalence of stunting in Natuna in recent years has fluctuated. In 2023, the stunting problem reached 12.66%, while the figure in June 2024 experienced a significant decrease, which was at 10.74%. This happened thanks to the simultaneous intervention of various parties.
The same thing was also conveyed by the Head of the Office of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning, Sri Riawati in her report, explaining that the purpose of this activity was to increase insight into the acceleration of stunting reduction in the Bangga Kencana Program policy.
In addition, through this activity it is hoped that the entire Family Assistance Team will have insight into the concept of stunting and the first 1,000 days of life, the implementation of work mechanisms, the use of the Elsimil application and the Sipantas Application, and build interpersonal communication skills in assisting program targets.
The number of participants who participated in this activity was 100 people who were the Family Assistance Team from 5 sub-districts, including Bunguran Timur, Bunguran Timur Laut, Bunguran Tengah, Bunguran Selatan and Bunguran Batubi.
In addition, there were also 10 representatives from PKB / PLKB from 5 sub-districts, including East Bunguran, Northeast Bunguran, Central Bunguran, South Bunguran, Bunguran Batubi.
