Located in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Natuna Regent’s Office, Jalan Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Ranai, the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto, led a Coordination Meeting with the Planning Director of Workers’ Social Security Agency.
Also present at the event were the Director of Strategic Planning and Information Technology of Workers’ Social Security Agency and his entourage and several heads/representatives of related Regional Apparatus Organisations.
In his speech, Boy welcomed the visit from the Workers’ Social Security Agency group, in order to discuss future steps and strategies for realising better social security, of course in the field of employment in Natuna Regency.
Workers’ Social Security Agency itself is an employment protection programme providing death and accident insurance for employees and formal workers such as farmers, village officials, posyandu cadres, athletes, Quran teachers, and fishermen, who are very likely to be included in the BPJS employment programme.
According to Boy, thanks to the good cooperation between the Natuna Regional Government and Workers’ Social Security Agency, the community gets special protection for workers. This is very important and must continue to be expanded to realise more equitable social security for workers. (Pro_kopim/D&S)
