The Regent of Natuna Releases the Participants of the Maulid Nabi SAW Parade of Serasan and East Serasan Districts.

In the commemoration of the Maulid of the Prophet Muhamad SAW, Serasan and East Serasan Districts held a Prophet’s Maulid Parade followed by representatives of all villages in Serasan District, which was held from Al Furqon Mosque, Hilir Village to Jami ‘Sya’airillah Mosque, Air Raya Village.

In his speech during the release of the parade participants, Monday (16/09) at the Alfurqon Mosque in Hilir Village, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, said that this commemoration is a form of Muslim love for the Prophet Muhammad, as well as a means of building friendship.

Wan Siswandi added that the traditions inherited must be introduced and continued to the next generations, so that in this area the Islamic brotherhood is maintained both through the commemoration of the Prophet’s birthday, as well as various other Islamic holidays.

Apart from the tradition of the Prophet’s Maulid parade, there was also a tradition of ‘eating toast’ in each mosque which was held for 7 consecutive days, or in the culture of the Serasan people known as ‘Seprah’.

After releasing the parade participants at Al Furqon Mosque, Serasan District, the Regent of Natuna accompanied by all the entourage of the Natuna Regency Government working visit continued their journey to Arung Ayam Village on the same agenda, namely the Release of the Maulid Nabi Parade in East Serasan District.

The line of Prophet’s Maulid parade participants consisted of each village wearing Malay kurung clothes, Islamic-themed floats followed by various religious art performances, such as Rebbana, Qasidah and Sholawat.

Also present in the group were several heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations, DPRD Members, Chairperson of the Natuna Regency LAM, Chairperson of the Natuna Regency TP PKK, accompanied by the Head of Serasan and East Serasan Districts, Forkopimda and several community leaders.
