Natuna Deputy Regent Jarmin officially inaugurated and swore in members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) of Tanjung Batang, Pulau Tiga District, on Tuesday morning (October 13, 2026). The ceremony took place at the Tanjung Batang Village Arts Stage under Natuna Regent Decree No. 100.3.3.2-365 of 2026.
Attendees included the Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Office, the Pulau Tiga subdistrict head and Forkopimcam representatives, village heads and BPD leaders from across Pulau Tiga District, as well as local religious and community figures.
In his remarks, Jarmin highlighted the BPD’s essential role in village governance, including deliberating and agreeing on draft village regulations with the village head, gathering and conveying community aspirations, and overseeing the village head’s performance in accordance with applicable regulations.
He urged the newly inaugurated members to hold an internal meeting promptly to establish the Tanjung Batang BPD’s organizational structure and rules of procedure. These steps, he said, would provide a foundation for an orderly, cohesive, and effective institution.
Jarmin congratulated the members on their appointment to an eight-year term and encouraged them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity, integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to representing community interests and supporting village development.
Following the ceremony, Jarmin and his entourage visited the site of the new senior high school building under construction in Pulau Tiga District. (Pro_kopimnatuna_arf)
