Natuna Deputy Regent Jarmin attended the monitoring of the Anti-Corruption Village Indicators in Limau Manis Village, Bunguran Timur Laut District, on Monday, 14 September.
The activity was organized by the Anti-Corruption Village Task Force of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia in cooperation with the Riau Islands Provincial Government.
The event was attended by representatives of the KPK, heads of relevant regional government agencies, the district head, village heads from Bunguran Timur Laut District, community leaders, and residents of Limau Manis.
Jarmin expressed his appreciation to the KPK and the Riau Islands Provincial Government for selecting Limau Manis as the location for the monitoring program. He said the activity was an important opportunity to see the progress and continued implementation of the Anti-Corruption Village program.
Limau Manis was selected in 2023 as the only village in the Riau Islands Province to become a national Anti-Corruption Village pilot. Based on the KPK’s assessment, the village received a score of 94 and the “Excellent” rating.
Jarmin said the achievement was the result of cooperation between the Limau Manis Village Government, Natuna Regency Government, Bunguran Timur Laut District Government, and relevant regional agencies. He hoped the monitoring would encourage continuous improvement and strengthen the implementation of anti-corruption values in village governance.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Village Task Force, Aris Dedi Arham, explained that becoming an Anti-Corruption Village pilot requires strong implementation in areas such as government management, transparency, accountability, and community participation.
He also explained that monitoring is conducted every two years. The monitoring of Limau Manis, which was scheduled for 2025, was carried out in 2026 due to several circumstances.
The monitoring aims to ensure that the anti-corruption values established in Limau Manis continue to be maintained and implemented consistently, as well as to assess its continued role as a learning example for other villages. (Pro_kopimnatuna/Sri)
