Natuna Regional Secretary Boy Wijanarko Varianto welcomed a delegation from Bank Indonesia’s Riau Islands Representative Office for an audience at his office on Jl. Batu Sisir, Bukit Arai, Ranai, Monday morning (September 7). Accompanied by Head of the Natuna Agriculture Office Wan Syazali and Head of the Economic Division Agino Riko, Boy welcomed the visit as an opportunity to strengthen ties while opening closer channels for communication and coordination. He emphasized that stronger inter-agency cooperation is essential to support effective governance and build a shared understanding of issues related to regional development.
Boy also expressed hope that the meeting would help strengthen the role and contribution of Bank Indonesia’s Riau Islands Representative Office in supporting Natuna’s development. Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia Riau Islands Representative Office Ardhenus Arfiansyah said the visit was aimed at establishing closer communication with the local government while gaining a better understanding of Natuna’s economic potential. He explained that BI is particularly interested in sectors where local communities play an active role as producers and economic actors, especially those with potential to generate broader economic benefits.
