Natuna Deputy Regent Opens Contingent Camp for 2026 National Scout Jamboree

Natuna Deputy Regent and Chair of the Natuna Scout Branch, Jarmin Sidik, officially opened the quarantine and preparation camp for the Natuna contingent ahead of the 12th National Scout Jamboree (Jamnas) 2026. The opening was held on Thursday morning (August 6) at Tunas Harapan Baru Football Field in Ranai.

Jarmin said the National Scout Jamboree is more than a camping event. It is an important part of character development, helping young people build discipline, independence, teamwork, leadership, patriotism, and a strong sense of unity.

He explained that the preparation camp is an important stage for participants to strengthen their physical and mental readiness, improve their scouting knowledge and discipline, and build a stronger sense of teamwork before taking part in the national event.

Jarmin encouraged the participants to make the most of the preparation period by learning, training, developing their character, and strengthening their friendships. Being selected to represent Natuna at the 12th National Scout Jamboree is both an honor and a responsibility, as the participants will carry not only the name of their schools or scout groups but also the name of Natuna.

He also reaffirmed the local government’s support for positive youth and scouting activities. According to Jarmin, regional development depends not only on infrastructure but also on the quality of human resources, particularly the younger generation.

The event was attended by the Daily Chair and members of the Natuna Scout Branch leadership, along with the Natuna contingent participating in the 12th National Scout Jamboree 2026. (Pro_kopimnatuna/D)
