Natuna Deputy Regent Closes Inter-Village Football Tournament Celebrating Kelanga Village’s 108th Anniversary

Natuna Deputy Regent Jarmin officially closed the inter-village football tournament held to commemorate the 108th anniversary of Kelanga Village in Northeast Bunguran District. The closing ceremony took place on Tuesday afternoon (August 4) at the Kelanga Village football field.

The event was attended by the Deputy Speaker and members of the Natuna Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), the Chair of the Natuna Sports Committee (KONI), sub-district and village heads from across Northeast Bunguran, local government officials, team representatives, and members of the community.

In his remarks, Jarmin congratulated the people of Kelanga Village on their anniversary and welcomed the tournament as a positive initiative that promotes youth development and sports while strengthening community ties.

He emphasized that sporting events should not be viewed solely as competitions to determine winners, but also as opportunities to foster friendship, unity, and mutual respect among participants.

Jarmin encouraged the winning teams to view their achievements as motivation to continue improving their skills rather than becoming complacent. He also urged all participants to uphold sportsmanship and continue developing their abilities so they can represent both themselves and their villages with pride in future competitions.
