The Natuna Regency Government officially sent off 36 Hajj pilgrims (Jamaah Calon Haji/JCH) from the region for the 1447 H / 2026 Hajj season. The solemn ceremony took place at the Baitul Izza Grand Mosque on Tuesday (April 21, 2026), led by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Natuna, Boy Wijanarko Varianto.

The event was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (FKPD) of Natuna Regency, representatives of vertical government agencies, leaders of state-owned and region-owned enterprises (BUMN and BUMD), the Chairperson of the Natuna PKK Mobilization Team, and heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Natuna Regency Government.

In his remarks, the Regional Secretary advised all pilgrims to maintain their health and physical fitness throughout the Hajj, considering the extreme weather conditions in Saudi Arabia.

He also emphasized the importance of unity among the pilgrims and urged them to follow all instructions from Hajj officials to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage.

Additionally, the pilgrims were reminded to uphold good conduct while in the Holy Land, reflecting a positive image of both their region and Indonesia on the global stage.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office of Natuna Regency, Nasoha, reported that the total number of Hajj pilgrims from Natuna this year is 36.

He explained that 35 pilgrims were officially sent off from the Baitul Izza Grand Mosque, while one pilgrim had already traveled to Batam to join the group before departing for Madinah.

With this send-off, the Natuna Regency Government hopes that all pilgrims will be able to perform their Hajj smoothly and safely, return home in good health, attain the status of mabrur Hajj, and bring blessings back to their region. (Prokopim/Natuna)
