Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan led the commemoration of Natuna Regency’s 27th anniversary at Piwang Beach Square in East Bunguran District on Monday morning (October 12, 2026).
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Regent of Natuna, representatives of the Riau Islands Provincial and Natuna Regency DPRDs, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Secretary, heads of regional government agencies, subdistrict and village heads, community leaders, and other participants.
In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan said the anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on Natuna’s history and development achievements while evaluating challenges that still required collective action. On behalf of herself and the local government, she also expressed gratitude to the region’s founders, former government leaders, community figures, and residents for their contributions to Natuna’s development.
She reported that in 2026, Natuna Regency received approximately Rp637.533.910.200 in funding support from the State Budget (APBN) and the Riau Islands Provincial Government. The funds were allocated to development programs covering infrastructure, education, fisheries, agriculture, housing, food security, and improved public services.
Cen Sui Lan emphasized that the funding provided an opportunity to accelerate regional development and improve public welfare. She called on the government, business sector, and community to work together to support development programs, maintain existing achievements, and help develop Natuna’s potential.
The anniversary is expected to reinforce unity, cooperation, and the spirit of mutual assistance in building a more advanced, prosperous, and competitive Natuna (Pro_kopimnatuna/D&S)
