Located at the Natuna Dive Resort Hall, Jln Raya Sepempang, Bunguran Timur District, Assistant for Economic Development, Natuna Regency Regional Secretariat, Basri opened the Coordination Meeting of the Natuna Regency Level Foreigner Monitoring Team (Timpora) in 2024, Tuesday (30/07) morning.
Also attending the event were the Head of the Ranai Class II TPI Immigration Office, members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum and leaders of relevant Regional Apparatus Organisations.
Basri explained that in the era of globalisation, the mobility of foreigners is increasing, so that more careful and integrated supervision is needed.
Basri said that the presence of foreigners for tourism, business, education, and employment purposes, however, still requires stricter attention and supervision to avoid violations of the law and threats to national security.
Therefore, Basri hopes that this activity can be a forum for strengthening synergies between agencies, both in terms of information exchange, data collection, and in facing various challenges.
