Following a series of events marking Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, the Natuna Regency Government held a National Day Reception at Piwang Beach Square in Ranai, Bunguran Timur, on Monday evening, August 17. The gathering was held as a celebration of independence and an opportunity to give thanks for the smooth running of the festivities and the continued progress of development in Natuna.
The reception was attended by Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan and Deputy Regent, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of local government agencies, community and youth organizations, military and police officers, Paskibraka trainers and parents, as well as local residents. The evening featured performances by local arts groups and school representatives, along with other entertainment that brought a festive atmosphere to the celebration.
In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan expressed her appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the Independence Day celebrations. She also praised the 2026 Natuna Paskibraka team for carrying out their flag-raising and lowering duties with discipline and responsibility. She said their performance reflected the hard work, commitment, and strong teamwork of the young participants, supported by their trainers and mentors throughout the training period, as well as the continued prayers and encouragement of their families.
Cen Sui Lan also thanked the TNI, Polri, government agencies, organizers, and community members whose cooperation helped ensure that the entire series of Independence Day events—from the Paskibraka inauguration and Sacred Reflection Night to the flag ceremony, traditional games, and evening reception—ran safely and smoothly. She emphasized that the successful celebration was a reflection of the strong spirit of collaboration and togetherness across Natuna. (Pro-kopimnatuna/D&S)
