Natuna Deputy Regent Jarmin Sidik officially opened the 2026 Paskibraka (Flag-Raising Troop) training camp on Saturday (August 1) as part of preparations for Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day celebration. The opening ceremony was held at Natuna Hotel in Ranai Darat, Bunguran Timur District.
The event was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Secretary, heads of relevant regional agencies, district officials, trainers, instructors, and the 33 selected Paskibraka members representing all 15 districts across Natuna Regency.
In his remarks, Jarmin described the training as an important step in developing disciplined, patriotic, and responsible young leaders. He encouraged participants to make the most of the program by strengthening their leadership skills, character, and sense of responsibility under the guidance of their trainers and instructors.
He also emphasized that Paskibraka is more than a flag-raising team. It serves as a platform to cultivate discipline, integrity, teamwork, responsibility, and a strong sense of national pride. He expressed hope that the participants would grow into future leaders capable of contributing to the development of Natuna and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Head of the Natuna Regency National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) Helmi Wahyuda said the training aims to strengthen participants’ patriotism, discipline, independence, teamwork, and physical and mental readiness for their duties during the Independence Day ceremony.
