Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan, accompanied by Regional Secretary Boy Wijanarko Varianto and several heads of regional government agencies, conducted an official working visit to West Bunguran District on Thursday morning (16/07).
The visit included a series of community-focused activities, including a subsidized market, a meeting with district officials and local residents, and inspections of several development projects. These included the rehabilitation of SDN 001 Sedanau, the proposed Sedanau ring road, the Pinyong fishermen’s jetty, Sedanau Fish Market, the Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village development area, and the New Sedanau Market.
Speaking at a meeting with district officials, local leaders, and community representatives at the West Bunguran Multipurpose Hall, Regent Cen Sui Lan said the visit was part of the regional government’s efforts to directly assess local conditions and ensure that public programs are delivering tangible benefits to the community.
She explained that the subsidized market was organized to help residents purchase essential food items at more affordable prices amid rising living costs.
The Regent also brought a medical team, including several specialist doctors, to provide free health consultations and examinations. She encouraged residents to take advantage of the opportunity to receive healthcare services at no cost.
West Bunguran District Secretary Said Sukrillah expressed his appreciation to the Regent and her delegation, noting that the subsidized market had helped ease the financial burden on local families.
During the visit, Cen Sui Lan also distributed regional government emergency rice assistance to 107 beneficiaries as part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen food security and support vulnerable households. Prokopim/Arf
