Natuna Regent officially closed the Air Putih Village Volleyball Tournament held at Harapan Beach, Air Putih Village, Midai District, on Monday night (24/11). The event was part of the Regent’s series of working visits to Midai and Suak Midai Districts.
In her remarks, the Regent emphasized the importance of using sports events as a platform to strengthen unity and harmony among the community. She expressed appreciation to the organizing committee and the people of Air Putih Village for successfully hosting the tournament in a safe and lively manner. She hopes similar activities will continue to be held regularly.
The Regent also underlined the significant role of sports in shaping the character of young people. Through tournaments like this, the youth of Midai are expected to develop their potential, uphold sportsmanship, and avoid negative activities. She noted that the spirit of togetherness shown throughout the tournament is an important asset for regional development.
The event concluded with the presentation of trophies and development prizes to the tournament winners. Accompanied by the Deputy Regent, the Regent personally presented the awards to the victorious teams.
On this occasion, the Regent once again reminded the public of the importance of maintaining social ties and unity on Midai Island. She stressed that regional progress relies not only on infrastructure development but also on the harmony of its people. Sports tournaments, she said, serve as an effective medium for building solidarity.
With the official closing ceremony, the Air Putih Village Volleyball Tournament has come to an end. However, the sense of togetherness fostered throughout the event is expected to endure.
