Natuna Regent, Cen Sui Lan, accompanied by Vice Regent Jarmin, SE, attended the Plenary Session of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Natuna Regency held on Friday (18/7). The session focused on the final opinion of the council’s factions regarding the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on Amendments to Regional Regulation Number 16 of 2021 concerning the Formation and Structure of Regional Apparatus.
The meeting, which took place in the DPRD Natuna Plenary Meeting Room, was chaired directly by the Chairman of the DPRD Natuna and attended by the Deputy Chairpersons, DPRD members, elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Secretary, and heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) within the Natuna Regency Government.
During the final opinion session, all factions in the Natuna DPRD presented their views, notes, and recommendations on the content and substance of the proposed draft regulation. The majority of factions approved the Ranperda to be enacted as a Regional Regulation, with the hope that the changes in the structure of the regional apparatus would enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of governance and public services in Natuna Regency.
The plenary session also approved changes in the classification of several OPDs from Type C to Type B. For example, the Women’s Empowerment Office will increase its divisions from two to three. Additionally, the Regional Research Agency, which was previously a Type B agency, will be upgraded to Type A, expanding its divisions from four to five.
Regent Cen Sui Lan expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all members of the Natuna DPRD for their cooperation and strong synergy in discussing this draft regulation. She emphasized that the restructuring of regional apparatus is aimed at aligning organizational needs with the evolving dynamics of regional development.
She further added that this change is part of a collective effort to build a bureaucracy that is more adaptive, responsive, and professional in supporting the achievement of Natuna Regency’s vision and mission.
The session concluded with the signing of the joint approval document between the DPRD and the Regional Government, marking their agreement to enact the Ranperda into a formal Regional Regulation. (Prokopim/Patli)
