Deputy Regent of Natuna Leads Meeting on Review of Administrative Boundary Between Pengadah and Teluk Buton Villages

Held in the meeting room of the Natuna Regent’s Office, Jalan Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Ranai, Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, SE, accompanied by Regional Secretary Boy Wijanarko, chaired a meeting to review the territorial boundary between Pengadah Village, Bunguran Timur Laut District, and Teluk Buton Village, Bunguran Utara District, on Monday morning (July 7).

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Chair II of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), representatives from Forkopimda, heads of several regional apparatus organizations (OPD), subdistrict heads of Bunguran Timur Laut and Bunguran Utara, village heads, and community leaders.

The meeting aimed to discuss and find solutions to the ongoing dispute over the administrative boundary between the two villages.

In his address, Deputy Regent Jarmin emphasized the importance of resolving boundary issues through deliberation and consensus, to maintain harmony among residents and ensure smooth village development.

He added that the Regional Government, through the Governance Division of the Natuna Regional Secretariat, would verify relevant documents and territorial maps used by each village to support their boundary claims.

In addition, a technical team from relevant agencies will soon conduct a field survey to confirm the accuracy of the data and clarify the exact boundary line.

Hamid Hasnan, representing Pengadah Village, specifically requested that the village boundary be reverted to the original map, prior to the changes introduced by the Regional Spatial Plan (Perda RTRW) issued in 2021.

In response, the Village Head of Teluk Buton stated that their village would adhere to the regulations in place. However, if a change is required in the interest of the greater good, they are prepared to give full support.

During the meeting, several supporting documents from both parties were submitted as material for future policy considerations. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
