On Friday evening (April 18), the Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, attended a Halal Bihalal gathering held in the courtyard of the Air Lengit Village Government Office, located in Central Bunguran District.
Also present at the event were several invited officials, including members of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD and Natuna District DPRD, the Vice Regent of Natuna, the Chairwoman of the Natuna PKK Mobilization Team, as well as the District Head of Central Bunguran and prominent local community figures.
In her speech, Cen Sui Lan expressed her sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and extended her apologies, as the event was still held during the Eid al-Fitr season. She hoped that everyone present could forgive one another and pray together for a better future for Natuna.
During the occasion, Cen Sui Lan announced that the Head of the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) would soon visit Natuna. This visit, she said, would be used by the local government as an opportunity to resolve land ownership certificate issues in transmigration areas, following up on discussions held with the Vice Minister of Agrarian Affairs some time ago.
She also outlined several development programs to be implemented over the coming years, including the renovation of places of worship and the provision of direct cash assistance (BLT) for the elderly, with an annual amount of IDR 800,000. She noted that the amount is expected to increase annually, depending on the regional budget’s capacity.
Regarding clean water supply, Cen Sui Lan stated that she had coordinated with various related parties to expedite the operation of the Sebayar Reservoir, which is intended to serve several sub-districts in the area.
Previously, Suhendrik, the Head of Central Bunguran Sub-district, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Regent and her delegation at the Halal Bihalal, which is held annually in his area.
He explained that the event aims to strengthen bonds between villagers and government officials. He added that open communication helps solve problems collectively through mutual cooperation.
In addition, Suhendrik shared that the event also serves as a gesture of gratitude for this year’s successful community plantation harvest. (Prokopim/Patli)
