The Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, attended the Dendang Piwang Cultural Event at the Selahang Youth Association (PPS) sports field in Selahang Village, Bunguran Utara District, on Saturday (10/08) night.
Attending the event were several heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations, District Heads and FKPK, Village Heads and BPDs in North Bunguran District and the local community.
Rodhial Huda stated that Dendang Piwang cultural was held to preserve the culture and customs and to fortify the local children from the loss of local cultural heritage due to the erosion of foreign cultures.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Natuna Regency Education and Culture Pinas, Hendra Kusuma, also said that the activity was a longing for local wisdom in preserving local culture.
According to Hendra, the efforts to maintain and preserve local culture and traditions are our responsibility, so he hoped that all elements, both preservationists of arts and culture, will continue to increase their role in promoting, introducing to the next generation, so that cultural values are preserved and are timeless.
In this event, several local arts were performed by students of elementary, junior high, and high school levels, as well as several art studios in Bunguran Utara District.(Prokopim/arf).
