Wednesday (31/7) afternoon, the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto, directly led the coordination meeting for the implementation of the Regent Cup in 2024 in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Natuna Regency, located in the meeting room of the Natuna Regent’s Office, 2nd Floor, Jalan Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Ranai.
Boy stated hat Natuna’s anniversary is one of the region’s big events, so it must be prepared as best as possible, and minimise the obstacles that might be faced.
He further explained that the technical aspects will be coordinated by the Youth and Sports Office, assisted by a number of related bodies. As for the implementation, the opening of registration is set from 15th August to 12th October 2024, where the final is arranged in line with the Natuna Regency Anniversary.
Moreover, it is hoped that all committees can communicate one to another, so that various obstacles in the field can be solved together.
Boy gave instructions to the Head of the Natuna Regency Youth and Sports Office to continue the meeting, especially regarding the committee formation and the determination of each field of competition.
The Head of the Natuna Regency Youth and Sports Office, Hikmatul Arif conveyed that there were 7 sports that would be held, including: Football, Volleyball, Sepak Takraw, Table Tennis, Futsal, Billiards and Gasing.
The locations for each branch of the competition include Sri Serindit Field (Football branch), Piwang Beach (Volleyball and Takraw branches), GOR Gemilang (Table Tennis Branch), GOR Air Mulung (Futsal Branch) and Eki Billiards (Billiards Branch).
Hikmatul emphasised that registration of each competition is free of charge, but it is only one team for one branch, especially ifootball and volleyball.
Attended on the occasion were several DPRD members, OPD heads, representatives of KONI Natuna, representatives of sports organisations, several heads of organisations and representatives of community leaders. (Pro_Kopim/Patli)
