On Saturday, 11 May 2024, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Natuna Regency PKK Movement, attended the Creative Economy Performance event initiated by the Natuna Regency Tourism Office, held at Piwang Beach, Ranai, Bunguran Timur District.
Wan Siswandi expressed his appreciation and gratitude for organizing this activity, while urging elements of the younger generation to get involved in efforts to preserve regional culture.
‘Maintaining culture can be accomplished with various creativities without reducing the elements of the conveyed messages. Apart from being an educational forum, school-age children indirectly participate in maintaining and preserving cultural heritage and ancestral art,’ explained Wan Siswandi.
Furthermore, he also hoped that with this Creative Art Performance forum, every school, studio and art preservation community can take turns every week to enliven cultural activities.
‘I would also like to thank SMAN 1 Bunguran Timur for presenting an outstanding performance tonight. Hopefully this can be followed by other schools. Let’s uphold Malay culture through creative works born from the creativity of young people,’ Wan Siswandi concluded.
The creative art performance event this week was filled by Sanggar Elang Buana which is a studio assisted by SMAN 1 Bunguran Timur, under the guidance of Ibu Adinda. With a very famous performance art, namely Bunge-Bunge Srindit.
The Bunge-Bunge Srindit show featured several art forms, including Batu Sindu Theatre, Bunguran Island Legends, dances, rhymes and songs that were packaged into a performance art that greatly entertained all the invitees and visitors present. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
