Yacht Rally Sail to Natuna 2025 a Success, Regent of Natuna Expresses Gratitude to BNPP RI

Held at the Serasan Island Border Crossing Post (PLBN), Regent of Natuna Cen Sui Lan warmly welcomed international tourists participating in the Yacht Rally Sail to Natuna 2025 event. The occasion was attended by dozens of foreign tourists aboard 37 yachts and was celebrated by thousands of residents from Serasan and East Serasan Districts on Sunday afternoon (June 15).

During the welcoming ceremony, the Regent introduced the geographic features of Serasan Island to the foreign tourists. She also highlighted the presence of PLBN Serasan, which is ready to support development in Indonesia’s border areas—part of President Prabowo’s Asta Cita program focusing on downstream development in frontier regions.

After the welcome, which featured a traditional silat performance, the Regent hosted the visitors with a showcase of local products, specifically highlighting the unique offerings of Serasan Island.

On this occasion, Regent Cen Sui Lan expressed her sincere gratitude to the Head of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) and Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, for initiating this international-scale event in the cross-border region.

She welcomed the event as a strong example of synergy between the central and regional governments—essential for accelerating equitable development in remote and outermost areas such as Serasan. She also appreciated BNPP’s consistent presence in border communities through collaborative events of international scope.

Looking ahead, Cen Sui Lan hopes the PLBN will serve as a gateway that reflects Indonesia’s identity at the border. Given its integration with the tourism and trade sectors, she aims to develop Serasan Island into a leading tourism destination while also advancing cross-border trade.

She hopes this event will raise Serasan Island’s national profile and that the development programs being implemented will generate long-term positive impacts, particularly in improving the local economy. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
