The Vice Regent of Natuna, Rhodial Huda welcomed a visit from representatives of fishermen from several sub-districts, at the Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of the Natuna Regent's Office, Wednesday noon (4/1) to listen to the fishermen's complaints.

Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations, Head of West Bunguran Timur Sub-District, representatives of the fishermen from the Sub-Districts of Bunguran Timur, Pulau Tiga, Pulau Tiga Barat, Bunguran Selatan, Bunguran Barat and Bunguran Timur Laut attended the meeting.

Rodhial said he would try to build communication with the regency/city government and the Governor of the Riau Islands to continue to voice the interests of the fishermen in Natuna particularly and the Riau Islands generally.

Furthermore, Rodhial also hoped each of the Chairman of the Fishermen will immediately collect information about the issue they were facing on for a discussion, consideration and regional policies.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of Fishermen's Alliance, Hendri expressed his aspirations regarding the management of Fishing Vessel Registration Certificate (TDKP) for vessels over 6 GT, they hoped this could be implemented in Natuna Regency in the future.

Apart from that, Hendri also submitted other complaints concerning the purchase of oil for fishing. He hoped later the purchasing process can be made easier and oil stocks can also be distributed evenly and meet the operational needs of fishermen. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
