The Vice Regent of Natuna: SME Development is the Regency Government’s Priority Focus to Improve the Community’s Economic Movement

The development and strengthening of the community’s economy have always been the focus of the Natuna Regency Government in improving the welfare of the community. In addition, the guidance and development of Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) must be a priority as the spearhead along with the construction of the SME center that has been realized at this time.

To realize the above, the local government continues to strive to make SMEs more competitive in the production and trade sectors by improving their quality and quantity according to national industry standards.

This was conveyed by the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, when officially opening the Quality System Training and Product Certification Implementation activities, held at the Trend Central Ranai Hotel Hall, on Monday (11/09) morning.

Present on the occasion were representatives from the leadership of Regional Apparatus Organisations, resource persons from Bogor Agricultural University, resource persons from PT Nusantara Mitra Optimal, and training participants.

Rodhial hopes that through this activity, the participants will get information, knowledge and skills that are useful for efforts to develop the business they run.

On the same occasion, the Secretary of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs, Abdul Karim reported that the purpose of this activity was to provide opportunities for SMEs in Natuna Regency to be able to improve product quality legally and administratively, so as to increase consumer confidence in the products produced.

In addition, Karim also hopes that through this activity, in the future, SMEs can better distribute the products produced, especially through the stages of production quality control.

This activity will be held at Trend Central Hotel from 10 to 13 September 2023, where the participants are SMEs who have been able to create new jobs for the community in their production areas. (Pro_Kopim/Sri)
