The Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, accompanied by the Head of the Natuna Regency Health Office, Hikmat Aliansyah and Dr. Pediatrician of the Regional Hospital, Wan Rita Mardiah, attended the Toddler Weighing Month Commemoration Dialogue Event held at Posyandu Flamboyan Penagi, Batu Hitam Village, Ranai, Wednesday (09/08) morning.
Rodhial Huda in the dialogue said that Posyandu has an important role, especially in helping parents in maintaining and maintaining the health of infants and toddlers.
In accordance with the theme of the Toddler Weighing Month, namely 'Save Toddlers from the Danger of Stunting by Bringing Your Toddler to the Posyandu', Rodhial said that many important steps in supporting the above are by educating prospective brides to efforts to fulfill baby's nutritional intake.
Therefore, Posyandu must be able to act as a media center for information in community education efforts, in addition to being a place to check nutrition, food, and the health of infants and toddlers.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Natuna Regency Health Office, Hikmat Aliansyah reported that the stunting rate in Natuna is currently at 13% compared to the national rate of 20% (below the national average).
Whereas in some villages, the stunting rate reaches 0 percent. So far, in order to support the suppression of stunting rates, continuous evaluations have been carried out regularly every month, both through Posyandu and various existing health posts, especially at the village and kelurahan levels.(Pro_Kopim/Sri)
