The Vice Regent of Natuna Attends an Audience with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Supervisory Board.

On Friday (03/02), the Regional Government of Natuna Regency held a meeting and audience with the Supervisory Board of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Natuna Regent's Office in Batu Sisir St. Bukit Arai, Ranai.

The Regional Secretary, Boy Wijanarko, the Vice Chairman 1 of the DPRD, Daeng Ganda Rahmatullah, the Chairman of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Supervisory Board and its levels, Heads of related Regional Apparatus Organizations, the receiver of both Employment and Health Care and Social Security Agency also attended the occasion.

Given the strategic role of the aforementioned institutions, Rodhial Huda expressed his hope in front of all participants presented that all government officials could support and socialize the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program to the community, highlighting the benefits that can be obtained by becoming a BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participant.

Furthermore, the existence of a social security institution for this community is closely related to the function of government administration; thus, the participation of this institution is required, particularly in order to reduce poverty, support the realization of welfare, and other social responsibilities.

On the same occasion, Muhamad Zuhri, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, stated that, according to BPJS data 2023, Natuna Regency has a workforce of 40,612 people, while the total workforce protected by BPJS employment until December 2022 is 24,066 people, with wage recipient segmentation of 10,640 workers and non-recipient segmentation of 13,426 workers.

M. Zuhri also explained that strategies to increase employment social security membership can be implemented in a variety of ways, including MOUs, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership programs with the Regional Government, and the issuance of Regional Regulations on Employment Social Security Implementation.

On this occasion, the Vice Regent of Natuna presented the Chairman of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Board with a plaque. The BPJS also provided compensation for Death Insurance, Work Accident Insurance, and Child Scholarships on behalf of Kapi Zanri, Zulkifli, Rama Wella, and Abdul Kadir. (Pro_Kopim (D))
