To optimise the regional potential to be economically valuable, the existence of Appropriate Technology (TTG) should be a solution from an innovation which is expected to support the improvement of production, to make it easier, more efficient, faster with better results.
The implementation of TTG is also considered necessary to increase productivity which will affect efforts to strengthen and empower families and community welfare.
Boy Wijanarko Varianto, the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, stated above when officially opened the 2023 Natuna Regency Level Appropriate Technology Innovation Competition, held at the Women's Building Hall, Batu Sisir, St. Bukit Arai, Ranai, on Monday (20/03) morning.
Furthermore, Boy also hoped that through the assessment results of the TTG design, it would be possible to establish a prototype and in the future it could be mass-produced to support the achievement of self-sufficiency in regional needs and market demand.
He realised that to create innovations, especially those that can be applied in designing TTG, requires a wide range of knowledge and insight. For this reason, Boy expected all participants to utilise advances in information communication technology to support efforts to create more efficient and effective TTG designs.
On the same occasion, the Secretary of the Natuna Regency Community and Village Empowerment Agency, Sabki, reported that the purpose of this activity was to encourage increased independence and competitiveness of the community through improving product quality, efficiency and productivity with a touch of appropriate technology, generating innovation capabilities and implementing science and technology.
The participants of this activity are selected representatives from each sub-district and school in Natuna Regency.
Some leaders and representatives of Regional Apparatus Organisations, Sub-District Heads and Village Heads in Bunguran Timur sub-district attended the event. (Pro_kopim/Sri)
