The Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto attended the Submission of the Stipulation of Child Guardianship by the State Attorney at the Natuna State Attorney's Office, in the Hall of the Natuna State Attorney's Office, Jl. Pramuka Ranai, Friday (15/12) morning.
Attending the event were the relevant FKPD, heads of relevant Regional Apparatus Organisations, the Chairperson of the Malays Traditional Institution and several parents and children who received the Decree of Determination of Guardianship.
Boy Wijanarko expressed his gratitude to the Head of the Natuna District Attorney's Office and his staff for initiating this activity.
He said that guardianship of children is important to clarify the status of a child's identity in the future. Without clarity of guardianship status, children will find it difficult to go through various administrative processes applied in governance and the public.
Through the synergy and collaboration between the Natuna Kejari, Disdukcapil and the Religion Court, the guardianship decree can be issued under applicable laws and regulations.
Boy also explained that previously the effort to issue a guardianship determination letter was processed at the District Court. The Natuna Regency Government appreciates the Natuna District Attorney's Office for strengthening the identity of children so that this identity becomes a better legal strength.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Natuna District Attorney's Office, Surayadi Sembiring, said that there are still many Natuna children who do not have signs or proof of identity because parents or guardians do not take care of the administrative provisions.
Considering the importance of proof of identity for a citizen, he took the initiative to build collaborate with the Religion Court, so that these children have valid proof of identity and strong legal provisions for parents for guardianship rights over children.
According to Surayadi, guardianship rights for children's identity are very important for children, considering that in the future, the clarity of children's identity will be required when entering school, processing ID cards, passports and so on.
In the future, Surayadi said he would take educative approaches and provide assistance to the community to socialise the importance of citizenship identity administration in the future. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
