The Regent of Natuna, represented by the The Regional Secretariat Administrative Assistant, Tasrif opened the Natuna Regency Genre Ambassador Final, which was held at the Sri Serindit Building, Ranai, Thursday morning (26/1).
Tasrif, in his speech stated that the president has given us all a mandate to reduce the national stunting rate from 27 percent to 14 percent by 2024. Therefore, one of the strategies in preventing stunting and improving the quality of human resources is the Generation Planning (Genre) program.
As a result, the government constantly to strive preparing healthy, productive and quality youth, in order to achieve a demographic bonus and golden Indonesia.
It is hoped that this Genre Program will provide understanding and insight for youth, so they will be motivated to continue their education, careers, and marriages with full of planning.
Eri Gavina, Chair of the organizing committee, on the same occasion in her speech conveyed the activity aimed to socialize and promote the Genre program among youth, as well as to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and positive behavior in self-development towards human resources with character and integrity.
In its initial stages, this program had was 47 participants from high school PIK-R and community PIK-R. Participants who passed the selection and underwent further quarantine and training were 24 (12 pairs).
The winner will be crowned as the Natuna Regency Genre Ambassador and will represent the region in the Province's Genre Ambassador event. (Pro_kopim/Sri)
