The Regent of Natuna Participates in Video Conference on Data Accuracy of Social Assistance Recipients throughout Indonesia

The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, accompanied by the head of the Social Service and several heads of related Regional Apparatus Organisations, attended the online Data Accuracy of Social Assistance Recipients throughout Indonesia from the Zoom Meeting Room of the Natuna Regent's Office, 2nd Floor, Jl. Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Tuesday (5/9) morning.

Virtually the activity was led directly by the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Ministry Representative Officials, Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, BPJS Employment, and all Regional Heads throughout Indonesia.

On this occasion, the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, explained that the Regional Government through the Social Service could evaluate and improve the data on beneficiaries until the end of September.

This is intended so that the data compiled becomes more targeted to those who are truly entitled to receive social assistance, considering there are still recipients of social assistance who are included in the ineligible category, such as State Civil Apparatus and individuals with salaries above the minimum wage, as well as people who are not in the underprivileged category.

A similar thing was also conveyed by the Vice Chairman of KPK, Alexander Marwatah in his speech, in which this social assistance is a program to help underprivileged people and it is temporary.

Alex also emphasized that social assistance is intended for underprivileged people, whilst the Regional Government must also focus on creating jobs in alleviating poverty.

In addition, Alex hoped that the Social Service and Disdukcapil at the regional, provincial, and central levels would synergize with each other, so that the data obtained could be synchronised and always updated. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
