On Thursday (06/04) night, the Natuna Regency Government's Ramadan Safari 1444 Hijriyah group visited the Ar Raja'a Mosque, Seluan village, Seluan sub-district.
The group was led by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, accompanied by the Vice Regent of Natuna, members of the DPRD, heads and representatives of Regional Apparatus Organisations.
The agenda of this Ramadan safari is scheduled to break the fast together, pray Magrib and Isha and pray Sunnah Tarawih in congregation with the Sub-District Head and elements of the Seluan sub-district leadership, religious leaders and the local community.
In his remarks, Wan Siswandi expressed his gratitude for the welcome from the host to the entire group. He hopes that this annual routine momentum can be an opportunity to establish and strengthen friendship and brotherhood.
Wan Siswandi also did not forget to advise, especially to the Sub-District Head, Village Head and mosque administrators, to continue to strive to prosper the mosque as one of the development strategies in the field of faith in the community.
Regarding development issues in Seluan Sub-district, as a new sub-district Wan Siswandi admits that infrastructure and facilities are still very limited. Hopefully, with the ability of the regional budget, this sub-district can gradually catch up as an implementation of the principle of equity in each sub-district.
Seluan Sub-District Head Emil Lismana on the same occasion said that since the sub-district was expanded, his party has formed institutions that must be formed such as LAM, MUI, PHBI, LPTQ, KNPI, Youth Organization and Sub-District Sports Committee which will help run the government.
In addition, Emil acknowledged that several sectors still have to be a concern and wait for policies at the district level, such as the limitations of medical personnel, as well as the facilities and availability of clean water and lighting that are still inadequate.
On the occasion, 60 basic food packages were handed over to the community, which is an assistance programme from Medco Energi and BPKH (Hajj Financial Management Agency). (Pro_kopim/Arf)
