The Natuna Regency Government held the opening of the XIth Natuna Regency Level MTQ, Year 2024 which was officially opened by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, at the courtyard of the Great Mosque of the Natuna Gerbang Utaraku Complex (NGU) Ranai, Sunday (21/04) night.
The theme carried out in the MTQ activity this time is ” Through the XI MTQ of Natuna Regency Level in 2024, Let’s Make the Values of the Qur’an as Charity in Daily Life”.
Attending the event were the Vice Governor of Riau Islands Province, the Mayor of Batam, Representatives of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD, members of the FKPD, Chairman and Vice Chairman and Members of the Natuna Regency DPRD, Vice Regent of Natuna, Regional Secretary, Assistants, OPD Heads, the Board of Judges, religious leaders and community leaders as well as the Kafilah participants.
Wan Siswandi in his speech expressed his praise and gratitude because Natuna Regency this year can again hold MTQ activities which have the main objective of making the Qur’an tilawatil competition an effort to eradicate illiteracy of the Qur’an, as well as glorifying the sacred values of Islamic teachings contained therein.
In addition, he hopes that the final results of this activity can show an increase in competitiveness, through the selection of champions with better quality skills than in previous years.
The champions will later become a reflection of the real conditions of the ability of regional potential in the field of tilawatil qur’an which will later represent Natuna Regency at the Kepri Provincial MTQ event which will be held in May 2024.
On the same occasion, the Vice Regent of Natuna who is also the Chairperson of the Natuna Regency LPTQ, Rodhial Huda stated that the implementation of this activity was inseparable from the participation of LPTQ and various elements that collaborated in the successful implementation of MTQ at the Natuna Regency level.
Rodhial also said that to welcome this competition, the District Level LPTQ had certainly prepared the Tilawatil Qur’an ambassadors, for the qori and qoriah so that they could give their best performance in each branch competed.
Moreover, he hoped that the LPTQ at the District level can continue to play an active role, especially in conducting Tilawatil Qur’an coaching programmes in a tiered and sustainable manner, in collaboration with the administrators of Qur’an reading institutions / parks and Quran recitation teachers in the community.
Finally, Rodhial also invited LPTQ at every level to make this institution a medium to increase religious deeds, alleviate Qur’an illiteracy, spread understanding of the contents of the Qur’an among Muslims to improve the quality of themselves as people of faith and piety. (Pro_kopim/Sri, Diana)
