Friday, 03 May 2024, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi officially opened the Governor of Riau Islands Cup Volleyball Championship for the Natuna Regency zone in 2024, held at the Piwang Beach Volleyball Field, Ranai.
In his speech, Wan Siswandi congratulated all the teams that participated in the activity.
‘We hope that each group can show their best talent, because the winners of this event will return to compete at the Provincial level.
‘Let’s uphold sportsmanship during the match until it is over,’ said Wan Siswandi.
Wan Siswandi added that this sports activity is part of the government’s efforts to produce young talents, especially in the field of Volleyball Branch sports.
‘We hope that this competition can become a platform for the youths to develop their talents, not only at the district level, but the youths have the same opportunity to advance to the provincial to national level,’ added Wan Siswandi.
The opening ceremony was marked by the first ball service by the Regent of Natuna, followed by Forkopimda, followed by the opening match between the Batu Gajah vs Pervota team.
This activity is planned to be held from 03 May 2024, followed by 8 teams, then scheduled to be closed by the Governor of Riau Islands on 07 May 2024. (Pro_kopim / Patli).
