For the second time, Bunguran Barat Sub-District held a sport and art tournament 'Bunguran Barat Cup II Open Tournament' which was officially opened by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, at the Sakura Football Field in Bunguran Barat Sub-District, Saturday (09/09) afternoon.
Attending the event were the Chairman and several members of the Natuna Regency DPRD, several heads of Regional Apparatus Organisations, the Sub-District Head and elements of the West Bunguran sub-district leadership, the Sedanau Village Head, community figures, participants, and the local community.
Wan Siswandi in his speech when he opened the activity appreciated the efforts of all the committees involved, and expected all participants to uphold sportsmanship and Fair Play during the competition.
The same thing was also conveyed by the West Bunguran Sub-District Head, Khaidir, where in addition to upholding sportsmanship, he also hoped that all participants could take advantage of this momentum to measure their competing abilities, as well as a forum for friendship.
On this occasion, the Chief Executive of the Activity, Barmawi reported that the purpose of this activity was to screen the talents of the younger generation, especially in the fields of sports and arts.
In this activity, the participants in the Football match totaled 38 teams, Men's Volleyball 20 teams, Women's volleyball 15 teams, and sepak takraw 15 teams. While this activity will be held from 9 September to 1 October 2023. (Prokopim/Arf)
