The Regent of Natuna Encourages Sub-Districts to Prioritize Scale Proposals in The Musrenbang for Budget Effectiveness and Efficiency.

Local government is a state instrument that is accounted to actualize the community's aspirations of the community in carrying out development toward progress and prosperity.

However, in practice, it must always be directly proportional to realization and budget capacity. As a result, the goals outlined in the proposed work program must take into account the capability of the regional budget.

This was stated by the Regent of Natuna at the opening of the 2023 Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-District Musrenbang on Wednesday, (8/1) morning at the Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-district Office Hall.

The Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, the Chairman of the Natuna DPRD, Daeng Amhar, several DPRD Members, Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations, the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council of Natuna Regency, Sub-District Heads and its elements, village heads throughout Bunguran Timur Laut, and several community leaders.

Wan Siswandi explained that since the regional budget's ability has recently decreased from the previous years, the effectiveness and efficiency of development programs must be prioritized.

In his speech, the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, emphasized the importance of balancing development priorities such as improving infrastructure and improving the quality of human resources.

He also explained that the local government has built coordination and cooperation, both with BUMNs operating in the Natuna region to get scholarships and with higher education institutions to provide opportunities for regional children to get a better education and to support the development of human resources.

The Head of Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-District, Yunalis, also reported that in order to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the regional budget, it had been determined that based on the proposals from seven villages, only one proposal from each village would be accommodated, plus three proposals from the sub-district.

Yurnalis hopes that with the lack of priority proposals submitted, all of the above programs can be accommodated in the upcoming Natuna Regency APBD in 2024. (Pro_kopim/irles)
