The Regent of Natuna Attends the Inauguration of the Natuna Maritime Meteorological Station UPT Office

Wednesday (31/07) morning, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi attended the inauguration of the Natuna Maritime Meteorological Station Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Office, located in the office hall, Jalan Haji Agus Salim / Puak-Ranai, Bunguran Timur District.

Also present on the occasion were the Vice Regent of Natuna, Deputy for Meteorology of the Republic of Indonesia, Acting Head of the Public Meteorological Centre, Head of the Maritime Meteorological Centre, Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Center region I, members of the Forkopimda, Regional Secretary, OPD heads, Head of Bunguran Timur District, and community leaders.

Wan Siswandi said that the construction of the new BMKG office is one of the strategic steps to improve the quality of meteorological, climatological and geophysical information services in the Natuna Regency area.

He explained that the presence of the BMKG office is not only a symbol of the advancement of a region, but also a concrete manifestation of a shared commitment in providing the best service to the community, especially in terms of disaster mitigation and the provision of accurate weather informaton.

Therefore, Wan Siswandi highly appreciates the synergy that has been established between BMKG, the local government, and other related parties. Hopefully this collaboration will continue to strengthen and to realise the welfare and safety of the Natuna community.

Gratitude was also expressed to the BMKG and all those who have contributed in the construction of the facility, for the dedication and hard work of all BMKG staff who have provided great benefits, especially for the local community.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Dwikorita Karnawati, thanked the Natuna Regency Government for donating land for the construction of the BMKG Station office building in Natuna.

After this facility is inaugurated, in the future BMKG will be able to carry out its duties better, effectively and efficiently to provide information services to the community. (Pro_kopim/D&S)
