The Governor of Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, on the last day of his working visit in Natuna Regency, inaugurated several educational infrastructures at SMAN 1 (State Senior High School) Bunguran Timur Laut, Wednesday (11/01).
Special Staff of Riau Islands Province, accompanied by the Regional Secretary, The Vice Chairperson of Natuna Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Heads of the Regional Apparatus Organization, members of Council of Teachers and students attended the occasion.
Ansar, in his speech conveyed the construction and rehabilitation were concentrated in several schools, including SMAN 1 Bunguran Utara, SLB Natuna, SMA Pulau Tiga and SMA Bunguran Tengah.
The construction of the infrastructures is sourced from the Special Allocation Fund. By inaugurating the facilities, Ansar hoped they will always be looked after and put to good use, to improve the quality of regional human resources as expected.
Additionally, Ansar also said that Provincial Government of Riau Islands would continuously support the development of education, in order to create competitive competent generation with technological advances and ready to enter the world of work.
Efforts to create such high quality human resources are a shared task, therefore Ansar hoped teachers would also be able to innovate in teaching and learning activities, so as to motivate students to study harder and improve their self-esteem. (Pro_copym/Ys)
