Friday (20/7) afternoon, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, accompanied by the Deputy Regent of Natuna, Regional Secretary, community leaders, land grant owners signed the Regional Property (BMD) Grant Manuscript to the Raja Ali Haji University (Umrah) Tanjungpinang, located on the Second Floor of the Natuna Regent's Office, Batu Sisir Bukit Arai Street, Ranai.
Attending from Umrah were the Rector of Umrah, Agung Dhamar Syakti and several academics from the university.
The handover of the land grant, which is located in the Central Pian area, will later be used for research and educational development purposes which will be managed directly by Umrah.
In his remarks, Wan Siswandi did not forget to express his gratitude to the family of the landowner who had donated his land for the benefit of research, development and research.
According to Wan Siswandi, the development of the world of education is important for efforts to improve the quality of education for regional children. This is expected to have an effect on improving the quality of regional education in all fields.
Furthermore, it was also explained that the local government can only leave quality human resources, including through coordination and cooperation built with various educational institutions, especially in terms of providing scholarships for the sons and daughters of the region to study in several higher education institutions.
Wan Siswandi also explained that according to the mandate of the law, in addition to human resource development, the local government also focuses on increasing physical development with the principle of equity to realise equitable development throughout the Natuna Regency area.
