Regent of Natuna Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for the FKUB Secretariat Building

Located in the Natuna Grand Mosque Complex (Gerbang Utaraku/NGU), Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Joint Secretariat Building of the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) of Natuna Regency on Tuesday morning (July 8).

The cornerstone-laying ceremony was led directly by the Regent, accompanied by the Deputy Regent, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office for Natuna Regency, Deputy Chair I of the DPRD, members of Forkopimda, the FKUB Chairperson, and religious leaders from various faith communities.

In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan expressed her appreciation for the initiative of the FKUB and all parties involved in the construction of the secretariat. She emphasized the vital role FKUB plays as a bridge for communication and tolerance in maintaining social stability and diversity in Natuna.

She added that FKUB serves as a strategic platform for safeguarding interfaith harmony. With this new secretariat, coordination and FKUB activities are expected to be more effective in supporting a peaceful and religiously harmonious regional development.

Cen Sui Lan also noted that the event marks an important moment in strengthening interfaith unity in this border region. The construction of the FKUB Secretariat is envisioned as a coordination center and interfaith synergy hub to maintain social harmony among communities.

The construction is funded by a grant from the Ministry of Religious Affairs amounting to IDR 300,000,000, with an estimated completion time of 120 calendar days. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
