Ramadhan Safari in Batu Bayan Cemaga Tengah Village: Regent of Natuna Strengthens Bonds and Listens to Community Concerns

Held at Al-Ma’arif Mosque, Batu Bayan Cemaga Tengah Village, Bunguran Selatan District, Regent of Natuna Cen Sui Lan, along with her entourage, attended the Ramadhan Safari on Saturday evening (08/03).

Among the attendees were Chairman of the Natuna Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Regional Secretary of Natuna, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of Regional Government Agencies (OPD), and several staff members.

From the host community, Bunguran Selatan Sub-District Head, village heads, and community leaders/congregants of Al-Ma’arif Mosque were also present.

The event began with a communal iftar (breaking of the fast), followed by Maghrib and Isha prayers in congregation. After Tarawih prayers, the evening continued with an Islamic sermon (Tausiyah).

In her opening remarks, Regent Cen Sui Lan greeted the congregation and extended Ramadhan 1446 Hijriyah greetings, wishing everyone a blessed fasting month.

Addressing several issues raised by the Bunguran Selatan Sub-District Head, Cen Sui Lan assured that she would push the relevant Regional Government Agencies (OPD) to take necessary action, particularly concerning the availability of clean water and environmental sanitation.

Regarding the clean water issue, she stated that she had already coordinated with the central government to expedite the operation of the Sebayar Reservoir, which had been previously constructed to meet the community’s clean water needs.

Cen Sui Lan acknowledged that every region faces different challenges but emphasized that each also has unique potentials.

She expressed her hope that, moving forward, village governments would develop creative and innovative solutions to address local challenges effectively.

Earlier, Bunguran Selatan Sub-District Head, Supardi, speaking on behalf of the community, expressed gratitude for the Ramadhan Safari visit, a Natuna Regency Government annual agenda.

In addition to clean water supply and environmental sanitation issues, Supardi also highlighted other challenges requiring government intervention, such as the inadequate telecommunications and mobile network infrastructure. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
