Located on Jln Datuk Kaya Wan Mohammad Benteng, Bunguran Timur District, Sunday (18/8) morning, the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto officially released the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia Cultural Parade in 2024.
The route taken by approximately four thousand parade participants began from the New Market intersection (Jl. Datuk Kaya Wan Mohammad Benteng, to the finish at the Globe intersection on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Piwang Beach.
At the finish location, the Regent of Natuna, Wan SIswandi, Vice Regent of Natuna, members of the DPRD, members of Forkopimda, OPD leaders and community leaders were present and crowded with visitors who wanted to watch the parade.
Wan Siswandi stated that the purpose of holding this Cultural Parade was none other than to provide the widest possible space for the community to display their respective cultural arts, considering that among the participants were representatives of community harmony organizations from various regions (Paguyuban) both from inside and outside Natuna.
With the existing diversity, Wan Siswandi hopes to continue to build friendship, brotherhood in ethnic diversity, customs and culture, becoming the main potential in driving regional development.
Gratitude was also expressed to the elements of the three (TNI) and the Police and all supporting elements, so that this activity could run smoothly, orderly and safely.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Natuna Regency National Unity and Political Agency (Bakesbangpol), Helmi Wahyuda, explained that this activity was the realization of the regional head’s instructions that had been running from one year earlier.
Seeing the high enthusiasm of the Natuna community, his party plans to organize a National Culture Performance as a continuation of this Cultural Parade, as a form of appreciation from the Natuna Regency Government for the harmony that continues to be maintained in the midst of existing diversity.
