Natuna Vice Regent Jarmin, S.E., conducted field inspections on Wednesday afternoon (24/12) at several construction sites of the Merah Putih Cooperatives across Northeast Bunguran District.
The visit aimed to directly assess construction progress and ensure the cooperatives’ readiness to support the local economy. The inspections form part of the Natuna Regency Government’s commitment to strengthening community-based economic development through cooperative institutions.

The first site visited was the Merah Putih Cooperative in Tanjung, where the Vice Regent reviewed the physical condition of the building and received updates on the stages of construction completed so far. The inspection then continued to the Merah Putih Cooperative in Selemam, where Jarmin emphasized the importance of construction quality to ensure long-term, sustainable operations.
The final visit took place at the Merah Putih Cooperative construction site in Sepempang. At this location, the Vice Regent expressed his appreciation for the strong cooperation and efforts of all parties involved in accelerating the project.

During the visits, Jarmin also engaged in dialogue with cooperative managers and local residents, gathering input and noting challenges encountered during the development process as material for evaluation by the regional government.
Through these inspections, the Natuna Regency Government hopes the Merah Putih Cooperatives in Northeast Bunguran will be completed and operational soon, serving as drivers of the local economy and contributing to improved community welfare across Natuna. (Prokopim/Patli)
