The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Natuna Regency, H. Boy Wijanarko Varianto, SE, attended a socialization event on Coretax account activation and Annual Tax Return (SPT) filing, held by the Natuna Tax Service Office (KPP) on Thursday morning (6/11). The activity took place in the meeting room of the Natuna Regent’s Office.
In his remarks, Sekda Boy Wijanarko Varianto thanked the organizers for holding this session. He said the event is important to help civil servants better understand their tax responsibilities—especially how to file their annual tax returns and activate their Coretax accounts, which are part of the new digital tax system. Boy added that the Coretax system is expected to simplify and speed up tax administration.
“With this system, tax management can be more efficient, transparent, and accurate,” he said. He also reminded all civil servants to immediately activate their Coretax accounts and submit their annual tax reports on time.
The session featured the Head of KPP Tanjungpinang, Herni Dwiningsi, who joined online, as well as tax educators Syukrunaddawami and Eko Purnomo from KPP Pratama Tanjungpinang as speakers. Herni explained the steps for activating a Coretax account, how to file Annual Tax Returns electronically, and the benefits of using this updated system.
She also highlighted that Coretax is part of the Directorate General of Taxes’ digital transformation efforts to improve public services. Through this system, tax processes become more integrated and easier to access, including for civil servants.
An interactive Q&A session followed, where participants asked about technical issues they face when activating accounts or filing taxes online. Herni provided clear explanations and practical tips to help participants carry out the process correctly.
Sekda Natuna expressed his hope that the event would strengthen civil servants’ awareness and compliance with tax regulations. He emphasized that civil servants should set a good example in paying taxes, as tax revenue plays a major role in funding both national and regional development.
The event was also attended by the Head of KP2KP Ranai, Devi Wardani, Suryanto (Head of BPKPD), and 47 treasurers from various OPDs in Natuna Regency. This socialization marks a concrete step toward supporting a modern tax system in Natuna. (Prokopim/Patli)
