Located in the Sri Serindit Multipurpose Building, Ranai, the Regent of Natuna represented by the Assistant to the Government of the Natuna Regency Regional Secretariat, Khaidir officially opened the phisicological first AID Training event, attended by several leaders of Regional Apparatus Organisations, Heads of Women's Organisations, Religious Leaders, Community Institutions and the Natuna Children's Forum, Monday (20/11) morning.
In his speech, Khaidir said that currently, cases of violence against women and children continue to occur in the domestic environment (Household). Not only in the form of physical violence but also psychological, sexual violence, and neglect.
The factors behind many of these problems include an understanding of how to educate based on cultural factors, poverty, and various other factors that do not reflect a nurturing and protective attitude for both women and children.
In addition to the problem of violence against women and children, civil rights that cause them not to get the same rights, even being deprived, such as cases of fighting over property and inheritance rights, parenting divorce, compensation claims, and employment cases that bring various problems, such as medical, social, legal and even various violations of human rights.
For this reason, the government is obliged to realize, protect, defend, and guarantee human rights so that women and children are far from discrimination, through the form of complaints, referrals, assistance, and legal assistance services.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Natuna Regency Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning, Sri Riawati, reported that in an effort to handle cases of women and children in Natuna Natuna Regency, her office has established a Regional Technical Implementation Unit for the Protection of Women and Children, to provide services needed for those experiencing violence, discrimination, special protection, and other problems.
In carrying out its duties, this unit organizes the functions of community complaint services as victims of case management, temporary shelter, mediation, and victim assistance,.
It is felt that this requires a variety of responsive potential from the community and service apparatus. Therefore, this activity is expected to disseminate information related to case management involving various institutions, such as the UPTD PPA, and the Task Force for Free Violence against Women and Children at the village and sub-district levels.
In addition, it also involves several elements, such as Babinkamtibmas, Babinsa, RSUD, puskesmas, women's and children's home villages, and various elements, with the intention that every condition/case can be coordinated and build service integration so that it can be more targeted.
