Natuna Regent Promotes the Implementation of the “Natuna Paperless” Initiative in 2026

In the era of digitalization, various activities—particularly administrative processes—are increasingly driven by advances in information technology. Government institutions are therefore continuously required to adopt operational policies that support more effective and efficient governance.

Based on this perspective, as well as the need to strengthen the implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP), the adoption of a paperless system—a concept aimed at reducing or even eliminating the use of paper in daily activities by fully transitioning to digital technology for document storage, management, and distribution—must be accelerated within the Natuna Regency Government as a shared commitment.

This initiative is intended to ensure that records and archives management across all Regional Government Organizations (OPD) can be carried out more easily, quickly, accurately, professionally, and in an integrated manner in line with the latest technological developments.

These points were conveyed by Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan during her remarks at the launch of the “Natuna Paperless” Implementation Movement, held at the Regional Library and Archives Hall on Sihotang Street, Ranai, East Bunguran District, on Monday morning (15/12).

On the occasion, the Regent also expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Natuna Regency Library and Archives Office for its role in archival development, management of static archives, and efforts to improve the quality of regional archival administration.

In addition, Cen Sui Lan congratulated several Regional Government Organizations that achieved top rankings in archival management, as well as in the use of the SRIKANDI application.

The event continued with the signing of the Natuna Paperless 2026 Commitment, the presentation of awards to the five best OPDs in archival management for 2025, and recognition for five OPDs, three Secretariat sections, and three sub-districts with the highest usage of the SRIKANDI application in the second semester of 2025.

The event was attended by several regional officials, including the Regional Secretary, assistants, heads of Regional Government Organizations, and sub-district heads from across Natuna Regency. (Pro-Kopim (D&S)
