Natuna Regent Leads 2025 Health Facilities Partnership Forum, Emphasizes the Need for Strengthening National Health Insurance

As part of the ongoing effort to enhance social security and improve the quality of public health services, the Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, chaired the Health Facilities Partnership Management Forum of Natuna Regency for 2025 on Wednesday morning (August 6), held in the Regent’s Office Meeting Room, Batu Sisir Street, Bukit Arai, East Bunguran District.

In attendance were the Regional Secretary, Head of BPJS Kesehatan (Health Social Security Agency) Tanjungpinang Branch, Head of BPJS Natuna Branch, heads of relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), the Director and Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of RSUD Natuna, representatives from RSAU Raden Sadjad, and the Head of Ranai Public Health Center (Puskesmas).

In her opening remarks, Regent Cen Sui Lan stated that the main objective of the forum was to establish a common understanding of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, improve inter-agency coordination, and address operational challenges encountered in the field.

Furthermore, the forum also aimed to garner support for enhancing the quality of health services, improve the effectiveness of health facility management, and strengthen stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.

Regent Cen emphasized the importance of the presence of BPJS leadership from the Tanjungpinang Branch, particularly to discuss on-the-ground issues, challenges, and public complaints that require ongoing evaluation and strategic solutions. These discussions are crucial to ensuring the effectiveness and productivity of the national social security programs, which are a shared responsibility.

The forum concluded with a joint commitment to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and communication, with the shared goal of delivering accessible, inclusive, and high-quality health services for the people of Natuna (Pro_Kopim/D&S)
